Free and Editable Wi-Fi codes open a page showing your network and password. Only a Locked code makes phones join automatically.

How to make a Wi-Fi QR code

  1. Type your network name and password exactly as they are set on your router.
  2. Design it. Colours are free; Design Studio adds shapes, frames and gradients.
  3. Choose how to keep it: free for 2 days, Locked for $4.99, or Editable for $7.99 to change it later.

Where people use them

  • Cafés, restaurants and waiting rooms
  • Holiday rentals and welcome books
  • Offices and meeting rooms
  • Events, markets and pop-up shops

Tips before you print

  • Choose Locked if you want phones to join automatically. Free and Editable Wi-Fi codes open a page that shows the network name and password with a Copy button.
  • Network names and passwords are case-sensitive. Copy them exactly.
  • Anyone who can see the code can join. Put a guest network on public display, not your main one.

Wi-Fi QR code questions

Do phones join automatically?

With a Locked code, yes: iPhones on iOS 11 and later, and most Android phones from Android 10, offer to join straight from the camera. Free and Editable codes open a page with the details instead, because a web page cannot connect a phone to Wi-Fi.

Is my password stored?

With Locked, the code is made in your browser and the password only goes into the image. With a free QR or Editable, we store it so the page can show it to people who scan.

My network is hidden. Will it work?

Yes. Set Hidden network to Yes so phones know to look for it.

Does a Wi-Fi QR code expire?

A Locked code never expires, because everything is stored inside the image. An Editable code has no renewal fee and keeps working. Only a free QR stops, 2 days after download.

Is it free?

You can make any QR free, valid for 2 days. To keep a code, pay once: Locked $4.99 stores everything inside the code forever, and Editable $7.99 lets you change it later and see scans. No subscription and no account.

What is the difference between Locked and Editable?

Locked puts the data inside the image. It never expires but can never change, and scans are not counted. Editable points to a link we host, so you can change it any time with your linked email and see scan stats.
