A free QR works for 2 days. After that, scanners see an "expired" page and it can't be brought back. We say this up front because a code that quietly stops working after you print it is the thing people hate most about QR sites. For anything you print, buy Locked or Editable.

When we do ask for an email

Only for an Editable code, because the email is how you prove it is yours when you want to change it. We send a 6-digit code there. There is still no password and no account.
