How much does a QR code cost?
At SortedQR a QR code costs $4.99 once for a Locked code or $7.99 once for an Editable one. There is no monthly plan, and the code keeps working without further payments. You can also make a free QR that works for 2 days.
Is there a subscription?
No. Every plan is a single payment. Nothing renews and nothing to cancel.
Do I need an account?
No. Free QRs and Locked codes need nothing. An Editable QR is linked to your email, and you edit it with a 6-digit code we send there. There is no password.
Which QR types can I make?
Contact cards plus 19 more: Wi-Fi, WhatsApp, SMS, email, phone number, Telegram, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, X, Google review, PayPal, Google Maps, event, link, Google Form and text. Every type has the same plans.
Which email is my Editable QR linked to?
The one you enter when you buy. We ask you to type it twice, because it is the key to editing your QR later. Use an address you will keep.
What if I lose access to my linked email?
Contact support at [email protected]. The linked email cannot be changed online, so our team checks that the QR is yours before moving it to a new address.
What happens when a free QR expires?
Two days after download, scanners see a short "this QR has expired" page. Free QRs cannot be edited, extended or upgraded, so do not print them. For a code that lasts, buy Locked or Editable.
Locked or Editable?
Locked stores everything inside the QR image. It works offline forever but can never change, and scans cannot be counted. Editable points to a link we host, so you can change it later and see scans.
Can I change a Locked QR after buying?
No, and you get one download. Check the details on the download screen before you save it.
What is Design Studio?
A per-QR add-on: rounded, dot and diamond modules, rounded, circle and leaf corners, gradient colours, five frames with your own text, and four scan page themes. Preview everything before paying.
Is scanner data private?
Unique scans are counted with a short hash of IP and browser. We never store the IP. Payment goes straight to Stripe.
